What is Thai script? An abugida where every consonant carries an inherent vowel. Thai reads left to right, but vowels can appear above, below, before, or after their consonant. This lesson introduces the writing system, how it differs from English/Latin, and the key concepts you need before diving in. We also introduce ก (ko kai) as your first reference consonant.
