Dialect Awareness

Standard Thai (Central/กลาง) is what you have learned, but Thai script also writes regional dialects. Northern Thai (คำเมือง) uses เจ้า instead of ครับ/ค่ะ. Northeastern Thai (อีสาน) uses บ่ for negation. Recognize regional words and understand that pronunciation varies.
